Sewing balls

This is very hard especially if your as good at sewing as I am. But it does give you some nice balls that are better than shop bought ones because you made them.

Ingredients :
Pieces of material
Pieces of card
Lentils/polystyrene bits/Plastic bits
Funnel
Sewing equipment
Basic sewing knowledge

Step 1 : Draw/trace an ellipse on to your piece of card and cut it out to make a stencil.

Step 2 : Place stencil onto material and trace round using chalk or something that will mark fabric, then cut them all out (you need 4 for each ball).

Step 3 : Sew one of the edges of your ellipse to another.

Step 4 : This is where it gets complicated. Sew another edge of an ellipse onto an edge of your 2 joined ellipses.

NOTE : YOU ARE SEWING THE BALL INSIDE OUT, SO MAKE SURE YOU GET IT THE RIGHT WAY OUT.

Step 5 : Sew the edge of the final ellipse to the edge of your 3 joined ellipses.

Step 6 : Sew the 2 loose sides together but not all the way up, because you need a hole to turn the juggling ball the right way out.

Step 7 : Turn the juggling ball the right way out and insert funnel into the hole and fill with lentils etc.

Step 8 : Stuff some more lentils etc. into the ball. Then sew up the hole (it looks better if you use invisible stitching on this. I would explain how to do this but my invisible stitching is about as invisible as a day-glow green double decker bus).

Step 9 : Repeat 2 more times.
