This is probably one of the easiest tricks to master, along
with under the arm but with this one you don't have to move
your arms so much.
Step 1 : is to juggle normally. Step 2 : is to throw a ball higher and from further right
than a normal throw so it sails over the top of your
pattern.
Then carry on juggling as normal.
That's it!!! easy huh?
Good practice is to alternate your hands once in a while so
if your right hand over the top is working use your
left (this is a good tip for any trick really).
Variations On This Trick
Continual Over The Top
This trick is probably the next stage after you can do over
the top. The name is pretty self explanatory.
First step, do as before.
Second step, the next ball that comes in to your right hand
throw over the top as well.
Third step, repeat step two over and over again.
Juggler's Tennis
When you have mastered the throw from both hands then you
can play juggler's tennis
First step do as before in a normal over the top.
Second step, instead of carrying on juggling normally; the
ball that went over the top throw it back over the top from
your other hand and vice versa.
You can now play juggler's tennis with yourself.
Reverse Cascade
Out of all the over the top variations this probably looks
the most impressive.
Step one, start juggling.
Step two, throw right hand ball over the top.
Step three, throw left hand ball over the top.
Step four, repeat.
This may seem quite hard at first because the throwing and
catching actions are different from the usual.
